Website Design Process

Trust Sophia Kelly to make your website do the job it was intended for.

Do you need your website to:

  • Provide a way for people to get in contact with you?
  • Establish credibility with potential customers or donors?
  • Answer frequently asked questions  to save reception staff time?
  • Provide documentation or information you might otherwise have to mail or email out?
  • Showcase your products or services?
  • Encourage donations and support of your organization?

Our design process starts with listening closely to your answer to this question:

Who are your ideal web visitors (demographically) and what do you ideally want them to do?

Once we know that, most of the design can follow from this answer.

From there we are guided by your organizations’ brand. If you already have a logo, colours and font that fits your marketing goals, your website will need to match and complement these. If you don’t, then we can discuss your options.

Based on your brand and logo, we will recommend a colour scheme and font face and size. We can then discuss a header image, or create one using existing graphics or logo.

This is a link to our bare bones template . The template page also contains a discussion of the process and options.  Your resulting website will likely look very different from this template, depending on your choices and needs. Your website does not have to appear square, for example.

Do you want to use Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn or RSS to help you reach and stay in touch with people? We can discuss their fit for your organization with you and set them up to complement and match your brand.
